I registered a few three-letter .EU's (no numbers involved) for own usage, though someone told me they may be actually worth a lot. I am not sure now if I would consider an offer, they were bought for own usage, though if a really good offer would come...

How much would they be worth? Also, would they be worth more if I'd only consider selling after some time of waiting (when .EU may get more popular)?

Is there any place where I could get honest advise on this from someone with experience in domain appraisals?

Depending on the combination of the LLL it can vary from mid $XXX to low $XX.XXX range. I think most of them are in the $XXX range.
If you have use for it for some of your projects or business i would say use them for your own projects and business.
And ask this question again over a couple of years from now since then it might be worth considdering selling.

Since you have use for it as well i would say go for it and use them for your own use. Let the domains mature and evaluate the market for these type of domains later on...year maybe two years later on.

Just my opinion and not an experts.

LLL.eu's are vastly over rated just now. people counter on sedo for more than the .com equivalent (e.g. somebody offered 30,000 euros after i put in a reasonable mid XXX offer)

Does that mean you'd consider it better to sell them very rapidly or else just keep them? You think they'd be worth less in a year's time than they are now?

You should keep them :) They can only get more valuable in my opinion.

I'm not really sure about this. Depending on my need for money, this would be definatly the right moment to sell.
Ride the wave of the .eu enthusiasts, because i don't think they will be worth more then .us in the near future. If you find somebody willing to spend mid xxx euros for that name, i'd say sell it.
Maybe it will be more valuable in the long term, but for LLL.eu there will be a fall of prices in the next few years imho, to the same levels of LLL.us prices.
just my 2 cents..

I highly doubt it since you can not compare .us with .eu
.eu has bigger potential then .us domains.

a slightly bigger potential, and i have doubt on this also. almost the same amount of internet-using population, and people very attached to their own country tld's. Plus the extension has been seriously injured in the first hours of its life by too many speculators, and I guess we will not see real .eu website for a long, long time. And without real websites running, the potential of the ext. may be really limited..

I agrre with Damion.

In few years they will be in the third place of TLD chart (.com, .net, .eu).
You should keep them. They can only get more valuable. But consider the offers of selling now. If the price reach your expectation just sell it :)

The highest bid I have gotten so far is 250 eur/name, so 500 eur/total. It is tempting to accept as I have an expensive trip to Australia to make, but I wonder if I could not get more out of the names? Two or three other LLL.eu domains were sold for a few thousands euro's (5000 EUR was the highest I think) which of course is seriously more than the 500 euro I was offered now...

VZE.eu and TGG.eu -- I have only two :( but I'm lucky to have them, as apparently all LLL.eu's were gone very rapidly.

TGG.eu was registered for own usage, the other was doubtful. Of course really good offers are always discussable :)
