A Vistawallpaper.com Story

I was planning to post this after I got a PR, but I'm just too excited Taking the cue from Kimberly, I did a simple website for vistawallpaper.com while waiting for the OS to launch end-2006.

This is my first serious website (2nd after sedoinc.com - which has been renamed clickcash.ws btw). I experimented with various forms of free promotion and am happy with what I've achieved. I currently rank on 1st to 4th page on most search engines (google, lycos, ask jeeves, etc.) for keywords like "vista wallpaper" - with just 1 week of link building.

Website traffic has also shot up tremendously and I had to install a tracking script to convince myself. The number of uniques I've had:

Day 1: 49
Day 2: 141
Day 3: 442

You can check the numbers yourself by clicking on the little purple icon at the bottom left, which says "website statistics".

We'll see what comes out of this in 3 months time. What's certain is that I'll definitely share what I've learnt from this experience at clickcash.ws
