domain VideoRentalandRetail.com, 119k Google Monthly Results

Long name you might say, I agree, so I purchased:

VideoRentalRetail.com in addition to it, for actual site development and branding.

However the longer phrase received 119k search results in February alone, that kind of traffic is worth something imho. I can't tell you the type in traffic and PPC yet until its listed up at Fab in a few days but i'll report that when I know it.

Prices, thoughts?

Would you develop the longer phrase because it would hit google better or would you aim for the shorter one and redirect the other, just because it is shorter? I guess that depends on type in traffic but a few other web/domain designers opinions would be great.

However nothing for over 119k search results for a term, seems extremely low, ppc alone should be well over nothing .

If I took the time to develop it i'd want double that value, simply because of the placings on google but hopefully i'll be able to say that with more certainty when I see what natural traffic it receives.

I doubt there is any shortage of end users to sell to either in this reasonably safe market, which is always a bonus.

Thats not a million searches, thats a million web pages.
Actually only 9 when you do it properly with " ".

A very big difference I don't want to predict what the natural type in traffic for ppc will be at this stage though, here is to hoping its 5-10%+

If you were being serious however, always pm people with idea's, never show them openly as people are certain to register them before you. (Not me personally, I am happy to advise but you understand what I mean)

Update:

The results have now altered to a completely different version of the words in one day? Perhaps someone corrected this due to one of my posts? :D I do have contact with a couple of sales people also in my emails, which I had spoken to on this name.

Still it will be interesting to see which one works out to be true but it seems all to coincidental that the second I registered this name and started telling people about it, overture reordered the suggested words?

Even typing that phrase with the 'and' brings up the new phrase, at the time of writing. I need my tin foil hat please, i'm know i'm being paranoid but still, its odd no? Still ppc won't lie either way.

Something is fishy with the OVT results. "Video Rental and Retail" scores higher than "video rental", "video ipod" and "adult video"...I don't think so. These are probably not real searches, but some OVT spam attack. Next month will probably look different.

OVT results are not always reliable, and should not be used as the sole indicator of domain name value. The Google keyword tool shows that "video rental and retail" search volume is quite low. For instance, "dvd sales and rentals" scores higher.

Even assuming that the OVT score were true, the name "videorentalandretail.com" would be worth just $279 according to my algorithm (and I'm not saying it's God's word, but it can find the jewels in the rough)
