Since alot of new members have started having around, and with the pending launch of the DM tools at Enom.TV, I thought it may be of interest to see the various scripts I've found for creating video share sites. These are in no particular order, and I am not affiliated with any of them, so buy and use at your own risk.

ASP Media Script Starting @ $59.95

Video Site CMS Starting @ $29.95

My Media Script Starting @ $50.00

Entertainment Scripts Starting @ $297.00

YPN,Inc Starting @ $39.95

My DL Store Starting @ $89.99

Top Media Script Starting @ $44.99

Ultimate Media Script Starting @ $49.95

One Step Arcade Starting @ $29.98

Stock Scripts Starting @ $69.95

Agriya Rayzz Starting @ $415.00

Vshare Starting @ $10.00

Humor Software Starting @ $40.00

Clip Share Starting @ $99.00

phpVid Starting @ $299.00

Get YouTube Starting @ $295.00 + $99.00 p/m

Altrasoft Starting @ $249.00

I think that covers 'em all, but if you know of another and want it added to the list let me know...

Very interesting post Westblock, has anyone tried any of these scripts??

Obviously User generated Content & video Sharing will be a part of .tv development so we will all need to get a grasp of what works and what doesnt.

Cheers.

I have started working with EntertainmentScripts' Social Media program this weekend, and am liking it so far. The creator is really pushing to make this a top notch MySpace/YouTube hybrid.

Right now they are running a $100 off special if you type 100off in coupon code before checkout.

I am building a site with it right now and testing some things.... I like.

(FREE) Joomla w/ JMovie Script

If I go the script route, and it seems like a bit more work than using a site like magnify.net (that 'bit' adds up when you have a bunch of TV domains to put up)... I think I'll try Joomla with JMovie

"Jmovies is a Joomla! component that allows you to have your very own video index on your Joomla! site. The component makes use of AJAX technology for the movie lists, reviews, and comments. Now featuring support for AllVideos Plugin, Jmovies is capable of displaying Flash Video."

A good example of this combo in action is...
Free Movies Cinema

Also, (inside tip) Joomla has found a "fan" in Google and they will be working on some nice integration features during this years Google "Summer of Code".

I'd be interested in hearing pros & cons

that's really impressive, do you know the coupon code expiry date? I would get this now but I'd like to see what kind of tools DM brings out first.

Magnify and Ning are great free options, but from what I can tell they are sub-domain based. eyedomainous.magnify.net for example; great for personal sites, but not a professional image in my opinion.

Open source Joomla and Jmovie, are also great options for those in the crowd that are programming literate. The scripts are a bit more work than Magnify and Nign because you need to install on your server, but but worth the effort so get away from the sub-domain issue. They are also far less work than open source options. If the open source solutions are complete turnkey like the scripts, please elaborate.

Magnify now lets users get off their sub-domain. Also, while Magnify plays a key role, I also build-out my "brand" via Feature Content on other pages... like video.geotourism.tv --

(Re: Social Media - EntertainmentScript.com)

April 28 is end of that promotion.

Also I know they will put together a license package if you wish to purchase more than 1.

Please mention you heard it from me if you contact them.
