VeriSign settles FTC complaint

VeriSign has settled charges brought by the Federal Trade Commission that the company's Network Solutions unit tricked consumers into registering Internet domain names with its service.

Part of the agreement was to refund customers that were tricked into switching to Verisign. Probably doesn't affect too many Name Pros members, but there were thousands of people that were suckered into this.

I wonder though ... why weren't the losing registrars compensated, since they also lost revenue?

Can never really prove how much was lost from each one...
