I bought a design for vbulletin and now theres a new version of vbulletin. I goto upgrade the site and find I now have over 50 template edits I need to fix so the new version runs right.

I am thinking about just saying forget it and run with vbulletins default design. :(

Imagine what people that provide vBulletin skins have to go through with each and every update. It's the price to pay if you want to keep your board running the latest version.

You could, however, ignore the template edits and just fix up as needed.

You say you bought the skin?
If you bought it from a well known skin site (Not custom), they will probably have the updated skin up, or in the process of making it.

If not, just do what i did (If complex skin), go to Find Updated Templates > View History on the template.

Get the old and new code, put them in Dreamweaver, or something smiliar, have a quick look to see if you can see any appearence changes, then, have a quick skim through the code, and compare them.

It takes a long time, but it's worth it. :)

However, if your skin is very basic, not much template changes from the vB Default, just make a duplicate or backup of the skin, and revert, and hope for the best. :kickass:

Yes. You are right. These continuous upgrades created problems for us.
