Since some time NamePros is running on vBSEO.
I am wondering if it really works for vBulletin.

Is it worth the 149 or is vBulletin 3.5.3 already friendly?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

It works, but it is not worth the $150 - vBSEO is terribly overpriced, in my opinion...It's a good piece of software, but if you aren't bringing in a lot of money per month or dont have a bunch of money to waste, your $150 is better spent elsewhere...Wait until you are well established with a custom skin and plenty of advertising before spending $150 on vBSEO....you wont get $150 back in return early on

I think its overpriced, but it definitely has proven to be successful on a lot of sites that have implemented it...I agree that its not really worth it when you first start your site...

I've never used it (cost prohibitive in my view) but I've seen it work some excellent results. Ultimately, the money can probably be better spent, since some more economically priced vB skin designers will do fully customized skins for the same price. But if you can afford it, then it'll certainly aid in you page indexing.

There is no free version of vBSEO. There is however a component or two from it released as free hacks on vbulletin.org by the creator of vBSEO to help promote his product.

VRewrite will accomplish most of the search engine optimization needed in vBulletin - and it's free.

I think Forum University does.

The main coder of vRewrite is a staff member on Forum University.

VRewrite works perfect. They've updated it in the past few weeks and it's solid. PR 1 to 3 in a matter of 7 days after it was enabled.

There was a small issue with the supplied .htaccess as this product/plugin appears to work perfect for forums located in the / root of the site not /forum/ .. but it's working great, for free it's priceless and the best alternative to that $150 VBSEO. I honestly have no idea why they price their SEO script for $150 (that's $10 less than the actual full source VBulletin forum itself!). I had to laugh at that, but this SEO stuff is extremely serious business so I guess that's why :)

looks like its back on now... :)

I Don't see it anymore ???

I am really confused as I just bought VBSEO.
One of the reasons is because of Namepros.com

-rj- could you please tell us why you have removed it..
or what is happening...

Did I just waste a $149,- ???
