a very decent $XXXX was offered for this domain, I would like to hear the appraisal of the NamePros community. The domain is:

To be clear, you have already been offered $X,xxx for this domain name ... and you didn't sell it immediately? Who offered that $X,xxx amount?

A guy who wrote me e direct email asking that i name a price. Not being very active on the sell side (as you see I am kindly asking for an advice), I just shot a number, the guy agreed and now I am having second thoughts (he may not be that committed, I can't be sure). I am actually into finance and intended to keep this domain for myself. Only parked it at sedo for the stats etc, as it has no traffic whatsoever =)

If I can interpret your words correctly, you believe that I should dispose of it immediately, right? =)

If your business were webhosting, would you sell webhosting.org for xxxx or would you rather keep it for yourself?

First of all, if the guy states that you should let the domain be appraised first and points you to a forum conversation then don't do it. It's a spam we all have gotten by now

Secondly, i think you should go with your first thought to sell the domain as offers like that are very rare these days. The market is getting oversaturated and most people are trying to concentrate on LLLL domains or shorter ones.

If you don't take this deal you might get stuck with a domain that won't sell in the end.
