Acquisition Reason: won at auction for a side project, but not sure I'll have time to work on it now
Markets: AI-focused Virtual Assistant / Voice Assistant
Research: None conducted prior to purchase - wanted it for a project
Traffic: None recorded
Revenue: None
Age: registered 2018-08-17

I'm considering putting the domain up for sale, maybe into an auction as I'm not going to have time to build it out into the original side project idea I had (AI-based Virtual Assistant).

Thanks in advance! :)

I've been looking at estimation tools and getting mixed values for this domain - I suspect because the tools have little/no knowledge of abbreviations like VA, nor how an abbreviation coupled with a relevant ccTLD might be of greater value.

At least, that's what I'm telling myself :)

Here's a shortlink to Name Bio's LL.ai sales:

Anyone have further feedback please?

it all depends how can you do marketing of this name.. and how much you can hold .. ask price 5000 USD
and wait for offers.. i liked this name because va = virtual assistant & value analysis as well.
if you can hold this name then best way to sell this domain is list it in afternic , sedo , godaddy , flippa(1 usd classified) also post this domain here in name pros make offer section and see if any offer comes ,

OPTION 2 if you are in hurry to sell this name then i would say go for flippa premium listing start from 1 usd no reserve and do marketing on namebio and then see where it goes
Keep in mind flippa takes 250 usd for premium auction then 20% sale fees suppose if your domain sold in premium auction in 1000 usd you will get only 500 usd in hands if its sold in 2000 usd then maybe you will have 1500 usd in hands but as per my flippa experience this domain will touch 1000 usd max in premium auction.

i would suggest to hold on this name atleast 1-2 years and keep your price firm at 5000 USD.
i am positive someone will come to buy this name.keep in mind that .ai sales are very slow.

One more suggestion is to reach all companies which initials are VA in linkedin maybe there somebody need VA sometimes companies dont care about extensions when they need exact match

i sold only one domain in ai extension which was MP3.ai in 500 usd to russian buyer i contacted him because he owned great traffic site related to mp3 and then he joined flippa auction and bid on it.
mp3.ai i sold in public auction not premium public auction cost of flippa is 9$

i hope i clarified everything

u can probably get a nice 4 figure value from enduser if you wait long enough... or a nice 3 figure value if you throw it to reseller sharks bidding at some auction site :)

@Rizwan Razzaq thanks for taking time out to provide such a detailed response - really helpful and appreciated. Your advice makes good sense - I'm not in a hurry to sell the name, and so I'll see about getting it listed in afternic, sedo, etc.

Reaching out proactively to companies with VA initials is a great idea - I'll give it a go too :)

@alcy heh, yeah - I think an enduser would be the best bet for this name vs. resellers.

I guess an auction with a reserve might still be an option - at least it might give me some data on what the market might be prepared to pay for it.

Thanks!
