.tv Using videos – Legal side

Hello

I have a question about videos. Look I have some plan to develop for example Bushido.tv. I need to put videos of Bushido Wrestling Tournaments. So I mailed that guys from Federation that were the organizers of that fights, and they didn’t replied.

There are many videos on Youtube, some of them marked Nuts.tv.

Do I have a right to use videos from YouTube and from Nuts.tv for example?
Or I need to contact Nuts.tv (in that case) and ask them if I can?
Or I can buy DVD with Bushido fights and put them on my site. Would it be ok from the legal side?

Also I want to use quality videos, and on YouTube not everything has a good quality.

What in your opinion would be the best way?

It’s not only Bushido question, but globally – how not to be claimed for using videos that are not belongs to me?

Go find a Bushido or Kendo academy and ask if you can film some moves or sparring. Then the material is yours, you can maybe trade for some publicity for the dojo. Worth a shot. You probably don't need to start with stellar footage unless you can budget that kind of thing.

Avoids all the legal issues, gives you the source video and probably only take a couple of hours to get some good clips.
