Thanks to NP member @Primerlloc I discovered the Verisign tool at https://domainview.verisignlabs.com/.
So lets look at the data to see what people buying domains think are lucky.
NOTE for all these searches the searches spike around 3am so we'll assume that Chinese domainers turning on their phone, laptops etc.
Examining the data for the last 90 days here's the registration number of domain using the following "lucky" number combinations. NOTE "888" blows these numbers out of the water almost 200,000 in the same time period.
TERM | # of .NETs | # of .COMs
"138" | 9251 | 20050
"338" | 8079 | 24312
"668" | 9003 | 31373
"518" | 8109 | 21021
"328" | 7449 | 16277
"768" | 7019 | 15576
So looking at the data 668 looks like the "lucky number. You can use that website to do your analyse and figure out stuff. To bad it won't give you future pricing forecasts!!!
