Using a Domain name?

I just registered my very first .com. Now how do I use it? I have pointed it at the nameservers for my host. What else do I have to do to use this on the site I'm already developing? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

If you have already pointed it to your host's nameservers, then you don't have to do anything but wait for it to propagate, and within a few minutes to a few hours (it depends), you will be able to access your site using the domain name.

you can host ur domain or use forwarding option,
where did u buy ur domain?
when u host ur domain into a host u will see ur site or ur domain after minutes or hours, depends of ur host.

If u have already pointed ur domain to ur hosts nameserver then just wait and see when ur domain gets active .then u can use ur domain for ur web site. further if u want to use mail server then change the MX record or ur domain pointing to ur hosts mail server. But u have to wait unless ur domain gets active with its new nameserver

Thanks guys, I did wait but nothing happened. I had to put it as a parked domain in my hosting cpanel. I got it at Go Daddy.

If you have already pointed to your host name server for parking domains. You don't need to do anything. Just wait for propogation.

If you purchased a hosting solution, then point the IP address at your CPanel and develop index page and host it at the root directory.
