I see escrow.domains used, escrow.com, and currently on flippa.com, escrowservice.com has many bidders...among other name using the word..

Escrow is generic word, therefor it can not be trademarked, without logo or special font backup, IMO. So you are safe to use it.

Escrow.com has TM for "Escrow.com" Not for "Escrow"
I believe in some countries it's not allowed to TM a domain name.
