When people say that a domain is running out of its usable parking life, does this mean parking a domain has a negative search engine ranking effect? Usually webpages will improve the traffic of a domain. Is there some negativity associated with parking a domain?
The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Maybe they mean that the traffic will die out, if the domain used to be developed and there is residual traffic from backlinks etc that is bound to vanish.

Considering the page is all ads there isn't really a long term value in them or a reason to rank them well. May get a few that rank for a bit but usually they shake out after a while.
Park domain lose out traffic starting from one month to upto one/two year
It all depends
-if Google have de indexed all the pages
-websites owners/articles on which your backlinks reside is corrected by them so,you no longer get traffic from that link
-websites having your backlinks are closed or dead
-Google algorithm change which effect negative to say some xyz website ( which use to get 1000 visitors a day may get 100 visitors a day after Google algorithm change) and if your backlink reside on this website
you also get less traffic
And there are many many other factors,
Bottom line is yes Parked Names have a drop of traffic every few months ( and few may see a increase also ) mainly Type-ins and typo type of names see a increase.
Earning money on the Internet as well, is hard work :D. If you promote your parked domains in search engines, local directories, etc. you can get regular income. Start experimenting and build a process of hits and misses and use that plan for your domains to earn more each week.
