Ok the UN says the US is being stingy and should raise taxes to give more money and AID to other countries. I say screw that stop giving them AID and start giving it to the homeless in the US of A.

b]well zurax is half right. if you count what the EU govt s have given altogether..which qwert funnily enough..is NOT apart of... then yes, that plus what their citizens give os more than what the US govt (not counting corp and citizen gifts) has given.

but then again... to be fair.. the EU has like 27 member nations.. we are just one. however, as history holds true..the US always ends up with the largest amount given.

As far as the US helping other countries goes, we send more aid workers, money, food and clothing to other parts of the world than any other country (and no, the EU is not a country). I'm so tired of hearing how the US can't do anything right. I agree with Lyte, we should just go back to being isolationist and watch the world go by. To help all the aforementioned lazy people, we could kick the UN out of NY and turn that complex into the mother of all projects. Let France house the UN. They would be a perfect match.
