Unfortunately the camera on my blackberry isn't working or I'd have taken pics of this. It is somewhat anecdotal, but in the past week I've seen .US domains on the side of two different commercial vehicles, on a political yard-sign for mccain/palin and on 3 different booths at an HVAC industrial trade show I just returned from.
I remember around 1995/1996 .COM was the same way - you'd see .COM on a sign every now and then and notice it because it wasn't all that common.
Not to imply that .US will turn out the same way, but it's nice to see .US somewhere other than domain forums and blogs, and it sure would be nice if it did.
