.US domains.US domains
I can't explain why but I still prefer .com, .net, .org in that order. Just call me old school.

I can understand the .com and .net preference, though due to some recent sales I've noticed (and been told about), I'm inclined to pick up a few .us beauties. Just wanted to know peoples thoughts on the market's between .us and .org, what the same domain might sell respectively being .org or .us.

I agree that the .us market is looking better. Most nomal users are still in the habit of the "old" 3. When I tell somebody to go and take a look at xxxxxx.biz they have no clue and I end up having to explain about newer extensions.

Individual word of mouth is only one way to promote a domain. The uniqueness, low acquisition price and branding value of being able to secure good .biz names is a fair tradeoff.

.org sounds non-profit ext IMO .... i believe this ext. is for organizations and not more on "commercial" use. If only strict regulations were imposed, .org would be -$

Was wondering myself - but seems a lot prefer .us at moment unless it has an "org" site name.

See some decent .info's free now too -

.US after .com & .net

.org just doesn't do it for me......

Its not all that easy. Some names are better .org and some better .us. All depends on the name. However I don think that .biz is one of the weakest and most unprofessional looking extensions available. I think .cc is more of a professional lokoing extention than .biz. It just looks cheap, and low brow at best.

Not too sure if you read business magazines like Business Week or watch business channels like CNN, but they use a lot of biz references and kinda cheapens their image in the process :p

.us is a must!

Based on sales from myself and others on forums, I see more .orgs and .infos sold than anything else besides .com. However, .ws and .us have been selling much better recently.

I pick up premiums in any tlds if they are available. Otherwise , i pick only .com and expired .net's and .org's.

Agree that to a large extent it really depends on the base domain name(s), IMHO.
I just picked up "Faster.us" here in the Sales threads, and I'd prefer that one over the long-term than "Faster.org", in my view (but I would have liked "Faster.net" and "Faster.com" ahead of either). :)
All the best!

I'd rather have a .com over anything, then a .net, and I haven't owned any other TLDs besides those two. Maybe I would look into getting a .us/.info!

On a sidenote, last time I checked (read: few months back) .cc's were expensive!

Well I am still looking to move Drafting.org for those who like them so much! But at least come to me with a offer worth listening to! :)
