US Exports Of Semen To Iran Increase Tenfold

WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. exports to Iran -- including brassieres, bull semen, cosmetics and possibly even weapons -- grew more than tenfold during President Bush's years in office even as he accused Iran of nuclear ambitions and helping terrorists.

Hey, you can't make this kinda stuff up. :p Hopefully they're not using the brassieres and bull semen to promote terrorism in the region (but you can't be too sure). I'll bet we send along instructions on proper use.

IMHO, the obvious solution to the Iranian nuclear power debacle is to offer US technicians in to help build the plants. Not to mention, if my neighbor had a tomato catapult aimed at me, I'd want one too (and I think I should be allowed to have one to protect my garden).

But seriously, it makes more sense to me that we should be exporting goods, and not war.

I'd like to see the US offer to build the reactors for peaceful purposes and maybe make a few bucks on the deal.

In all fairness, alot of people have a right to rant a bit when they may not even have flowers to stop and smell and may instead have to worry about sniper fire or a roadside IED or an occupying force. This may not be the case with our friend MIR but it is the case with many thruout the world and not just the Middle East.

I would say it's better to educate thru dialog rather than confrontation.

i agree with this statement....

Israel relies too much on the US for one thing. I think Israel has to make more of an effort to get along with it's mid east neighboors, among other things.

I mean, one of the major problems i see is that too many people call Israel as a Jewish State....but Israel is the holy land for 3 of the world's major religon...Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. How can one group claim ownership of a land that has historical significance to so many people? I mean, i think that if Israel really wants peace, the government is going to have to increase it's fairness and tolerance to people of other faiths and origins. It's not like Israel's been in existence for centuries and is fighting illegal immigrants with no land heritage....

if they cannot do this, Israel will continue to fight itself until it destroys itself.
