.us .us domains expiring...

When do .us domains actually expire. Ive backordered a few on Pool.com, and according to them, they should have been available about a week ago. When do .us domains actually become available after expiring?

I don't know if this is what you are experiencing, but I 've noticed that the .us dates have been flakey. I had 5-6 lined up, and now they are showing that they've been recently reggd and the expiration is now in 2005. These were all pending delete names, acting almost as if they were expiry dates instead. In one case, the name was actually regged for a year a couple of days before pending delete date. There is no way, that I am aware of to determine how the name was obtained, so not quite clear on how this happenned and is happenning frequently and mostly w/ .US deletes.

Pool, doesn't update listings very often, so their dates are atrociously unreliable. I regularly am deleting my backorders that missed, using a whois.

Flakey is the right word, grr.

The .us names I am tracking shows:-

Supposed to have expired in Feb 2004, seems to have been renewed till 2005, but status shows the name has been put into deep freeze for the next century of domainers.

expiration has nothing to do with it, those domains are pending being deleated I see domain names stay up months after expiration date. pool.com shows domains that might be deleated soon.

When did Pool start offering .us name drops?
