stay cool, ya all, Adrian has mailed me to say he intends to uphold his commitment..

In the advent he doesnt, i'll make up any shortfall..

I have to say though on his suspension:

1. It was bang out of order to call Mark (someone i personally have a lot of respect for) an extremely offensive term as he did - and regardless of re-instatement or otherwise, I think he owes Mark an apology.
2. It was also a somewhat slight over reaction to say "goodbye" for simply receiving some warning points.

That said, i do think the moderation here has gone "gung ho" in awarding warning points these days and I also cant stand the frequent bouts of hypocrisy... Say something mildly disrespectful to another member or disagree with what they say and its a "please behave yourselves warning message posted in the forum", say something similar concerning a forum member or member of staff and its "you have been banned/warned" time... dont like that..

I appreciate the support Badger - I really do , But the portion about Hypocrisy I don't really see. I do admit that I'm taking a harder line on Disrespect toward staff , But thats because Most of it has been overlooked altogether in the past - and it's getting out of hand. If people report things blatant as some things We (Staff and Forum Leaders) are called or have done to us everyday .... That are directed toward the members , It will be addressed accordingly. As I've said before , We can't possibly read or see every post in this forum.

If this member would have apologized in place of making such a big deal and then adding even more insult to injury .... This would all be over.

But I would also like to add this - Staff and Forum Leaders are volunteers and should be given some respect for their time and efforts they give each and every day in here. It has now gotten to the point that the Mods here that play Bad Cop (As I Do) have had to remove all links/sites from NamePros Due to some Revenge being taken by people warned/banned .... Things that jeopardize our very incomes online. So we sometimes lose more than we gain by doing this .... No free links in my sig or anything I'm not really complaining - But just saying I will continue to take more severe actions on people who attack the Staff and Forum Leaders , It is only fair as I see it.

If I could post some examples in here without Breaking the rules I would :o (And No - you folks don't even see a tength of it really)

I myself, a year or two ago, had some cheese here send me a pathetic death threat via email because he didnt agree with my scepticism for what he was saying. Hey, i'll even give you the link, i dont mind..

So, my point, i guess as a staff member times this by 'X' and you could have a problem.. The only problem for you Mark is that most of us remember your previous 'online presence'

So - "any member regardless of standing can receive warning points for overstepping the mark" - fair enough.

And - "being rude or offensive to staff will mean an instant ban" - again fair enough, i agree, provided there is no previous history between the parties i.e. its not a member to member discussion that boils over.

Maybe i should have said in my previous post "I dont like the lack of consistency in moderation" rather than "hypocrisy" - sorry mate.
