URL Redirection Problem

Hi,

I have an Url that redirects to a different Url. The first 'redirected from' Url shows up in the Url History List (UHL) just fine. But I would like the second 'redirected to' Url (the destination Url) to show in the UHL too.

I understand that the UHL contains only typed Url's, i.e. that a user has manually typed in. But is there any way, I wonder, to get the 'redirected to' Url (that they didn't actually type in, but were redirected to) to show up in the UHL as well?

Any help you can offer me would be greatly appreciated... and i'm happy to pay :)

Cheers,

The history is probably browser-specific so it's very possible there is nothing you can do about it.
Can you post some code and which browser are you using ?

How do you define the history list? The drop down box of the URL address text box or the browsing history?

Generally you cant alter these items however, in particular the values of the drop down box.

This just seems like an abuse of your visitors' privacy...whatever method you use to do this will probably not work in the future once a number of sites start abusing it :/

If you want to know where your visitors are coming from, use the HTTP_REFERER field of the http headers...if that's spoofed, just accept that some people value their privacy online.
