Hi, buddies,
I have a confirmed offer over $1000 on some of my domains. The buyer can paypal me as soon as possible. However I heard some bad things about paypal with domains and the refund fraud. Should I take an escrow service? But I heard the escrow.com has similar problems too. So what are your recommendations?
Waiting for the answers. Thanks a lot.

Update: Hello, thanks for all the recommendations. After communications and investigation, since the buyer is a capable bulk buyer at this forum, I allow him to pay directly via paypal. Everything is smoothly completed by far.
But this does not mean that it is a safe way to do business, I would rather recommend people do as the following (use escrow for mid-high payment).
Thank you again.

It is a tough call - As a general rule .... I will not accept over 500$ through Paypal unless I know the buyer. Credit Card purchases through PP of any amount are not accepted by me at all .... But I have accepted over 500$ via "Available Cash" and "Echecks" before (Just make sure the Echeck has been approved and cleared if you do so before transferring ANYTHING).

Good Luck with your sale :tu:

If you are in doubt, use escrow. While the fee takes a chunk out of your earnings, you will be able to tell immediately if the buyer is legit or not. If the buyer refuses to use escrow (when you pay the fees), you have a pretty good suspicion the buyer isn't legit.

Use escrow for sure, it's not worth losing that kind of money. I would say almost anything over $250.

for the amounts in question, escrow is a must....

ditto, I use escrow.com for any higher transaction amount with someone I don't know and results have been good, also much quicker than escrow through sedo I have found.

I would suggest you use a escrow service.
( and ask the buyer to pay 50% )

IIRC I think you can sell it via Sedo, using them as an escrow service.
