I play a game called Ultima Online and just started up a news service for the server I play on. The site is similar to CNN.com and other major news sources in that we provide live, breaking news as it happens within the game's server.

The site is called The Ultima Online Ledger, and the URL is: http://www.uoledger.com

The site uses WordPress with the Revolution News system installed (thanks to James from NP for pointing it out!). I fully edited the graphics and template to give it a "medieval" theme while trying to maintain a clean environment.

I'm looking any feedback related to how I can improve the site, its functions, its look and aesthetic appeal, and also its ease of use. Rep added for assistance :)

Thanks very much,
VYFX

So, you're the one player that's left!

I played UO since Sept. 97, still have one acct left from back then, but never log in anymore. The days of the game that shaped the landscape of all MMORPG's that have ever been developed, has lost its edge since EA took over.

Nonetheless, your site is great. Like the feel and UI of it. I'd maybe address the logo and incorporate a bit more UO likeness into it. There are countless images floating around the net, make use of one of them in your logo. Obviously, you covered the favicon part - eventually bring the UO symbol into your logo.
Also, capitalize on the good ol' time in Fel, eventually reflect a bit on Doom and my buddy the Skeletal Dragon (bitch of a gatekeeper to the boat).
Video implementation would also be fantastic as there are still (i would assume) epic battles going on a some of the Moongates and/or spawn areas or Harrowers.
Long story short, it's a nicely done site that could use a bit more entertainment value and some visual fine tuning.

Edit: To answer your poll question: T2A server? Hell yeah! I'd even consider logging in again then...

Haha, awesome. And thanks for the feedback.

I'm going to be adding a video portion to the site that will work as a little box of its own on the homepage, but I'm messing around on my test site to make sure it all works before going live with it. It'll be used for-- like you said-- mostly harrower videos and other videos submitted by users.

The logo is definitely something I'm going to put in. I'm working on one now but it's taking a while, especially since I need to make it transparent to flow with the "busy" background (i.e. not flat color). But it will come.

We'll also definitely be posting 'stories of reflecting' on our site in the near future about players' experiences in the old days.

Well if you ever decide to come back just throw me a message and we'll hit up the Britain Bank.
