Unverified PayPal account?

Hey guys!

Have you ever done a domain deal with a person who has an unverified paypal account?

I'm the buyer dealing with a guy who is an unverified paypal member,
I've sent him money though I know it would be at high-risk to deal with an unverified paypal member...

I really like that name, and paypal is the only way for both of us since I am out of America.

actually, I am scaring right now....
I hope that I can get that name in the end....

Unverified means nothing really. I switched my paypal account to a verified account a couple of years ago by providing my checking account number and within a week my account was hacked in to by some guy in the philippines (me and about a dozen other people). The guy was buying laptops on ebay and paying for them out of our accounts. I don't know how he managed to pull this off, but apparently it is more enticing for the bad guys to do this sort of thing with a verified account than an unverified account because it is harder for the victim to reverse the transaction from a checking account than it is to fight it with a credit card transaction. I was very close to losing $1,200.

I wouldn’t hold being unverified against the guy…

Same thing happned to my 'verified' acct.

What a PITA to get paypal to get you your money back.

That sounds dodgy, I wouldnt do anything with someone with an unverified paypal.
