Moved the first batch to unstoppable, some first considerations:

- Transfer out bulk management missing (of pivotal importance for portfolio management)
- Detokenization in bulk is not present. (tokenized domains make possible tracing entire portfolio which is not necessarily good...)
- Bulk marketplace pricing is not present.

I'll be happy to move many more hundreds domains but lack of full bulk management is a huge turn off for me.

we're a ways away from being able to completely disassociate your portfolio onchain to preserve your privacy, but as a quick fix we're looking into being able to disable your seller storefront to minimize publicity about your portfolio if you don't want it

can you explain what you mean by bulk marketplace pricing? you want to upload a csv in order to configure listings? that is on the roadmap

what other bulk features do you think we're missing?

What does that mean, please?

I admit crypto, onchain, etc., confuse me, and I want nothing to do with being paid by crypto! However, a promo tempted me to join and invest a little money in Coinbase. A month later, and my asset value is down 70%!!! So there is no way in hell I want to sell a domain and get paid in vapor money that can disappear without a trace!

no need to worry about this. first off, there's no crypto experience required to use us. you won't even know you're using web3 when you use our registrar/marketplace. we have a built in wallet that feels like you just have a normal account. no seed phrase backups, less risk of losing funds, etc.

second - whenever you get paid via crypto it always gets converted to USD in the end so you have no exposure to volatility. it simply gives your buyers more payment options, which are additionally chargeback-less and therefore settle instantly. meaning you wait less for payouts

Can someone clarify I read 2 versions even asked GPT, I want to see to move some domains to UD before doing that.
1. the cheap transfer promo apply if you keep the domain for 1 year there, after one year passed, after the initial transfer, you can transfer away without pay the remaining price from promo?
2. after you transfer to them, then after one year pass renew with them for 1 year only then later you can transfer without pay additional money from reduced promo?
What is the truth behind this, if second you get 2 years cheaper than 11 initial price, e.g 11 + 6 = 17$ not 22$ I m right?
edit: why so much confusion? Tell directly transfer cheap, renew for a second year with us, get reduction for 2 years.

you're correct, if you don't want to pay back the discount to transfer out will need to stay with us past the first year. meaning you'll renew at $11, probably more like $10 a year from now. total cost being $11+$5.52 for 2 years of registration

CORRECTION: number 1 is correct. there's no obligation to renew with us in order to avoid repaying the discount. after 1 year passes you will be able to transfer out freely without a fee. the only time you will need to renew to transfer out is if the domain is expired. we do not allow transferring out while the domain is expired, so you'll need to renew first.

Unless you have enabled public WHOIS info for your domains, these domains cannot be tracked back to you. The tokenized domains lie in a wallet - which btw, you can split between wallets for no cost at all. Just transfer from one wallet to other within unstoppable itself.

As for the promo domains, all domains by default sit in UD-assigned custodial wallet, which is not accessible by you. So better to move it to your self-custody wallet asap so you have full control.

Simply put, there is no real benefit in 'detokenizing'. Just a waste of time. Although, you do have to detokenize if you wanna transfer to a traditional registrar afaik.

we advise against using self-custody wallet with unstoppable unless you know what you're doing and are comfortable with a far worse experience. self-custody wallets require greater opsec, backups, and also a lot of extra friction since you need to sign a transaction with your wallet every time you take an action like eg listing for sale

I observed this same issue last Friday. The moment I clicked on multiple domain names to update the NS, the "action" button disappeared.

Took me a while to realise it didn't really disappear. It just became "invisible".

Click on where the action button is supposed to be and it'll deploy the drop-down list of actions as it normally would.

A registrar setting a grace period of 0 days, so that the moment a domain expires it immediately enters deletion (or a non-transferable state), effectively denies registrants the ability to transfer that domain based solely on its expired status. That practice is contrary to the contractual obligation that registrars not block transfers simply because a domain is expired.

By doing so, you are essentially relying on your own operational quirks to prevent what ICANN intends to be a transparent and holder-friendly process.
