Unstoppable Domains:
"We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with Blockchain.com on a strategy to establish a web3-centric, DNS-enabled domain in anticipation of next year's ICANN gTLD initiative. With over 40 million verified users, 90 million wallets, and $1.2 trillion in crypto transactions, this marks blockchain.com as one of the largest Web3 companies to establish such a blueprint, centered around the beloved .blockchain domain.

If our application is successful, the .blockchain domain will join the ranks of iconic ICANN-registered generic top-level domains (gTLDs) like .com, .net, .org, .biz, and .info. This would allow .blockchain domain owners to benefit from standard Web2 functions, such as emailing and website resolution in addition to its current web3 capabilities."

That's an obnoxiously long TLD. That's the first mistake.

But how will this even work? Because Unstoppable Domains require plug-ins. Which means that it would have to install that on your browser for you to access it. Otherwise it would just go through a centralized channel. But a more notable concern is the lack of security features.

Even reading the article I'm getting scared shitless (and I don't even plan to use their services) because it's just numbers and marketing jargon. What they should outline is the user experience and functionality, preferably with some technical details so that experienced programmers can look at it and say "yeah, that makes sense," or "no, that wouldn't work."
