Since nearly all the best one word domains are already registered, is there a program that can instantly find out the remaining one word domains that have not been registered?

search around these forums. Many people post lists of 1 word domains about to drop or ones that haven't been registered yet. The main way to find 1 word domains is to physically use a dictionary and check out the results via whois.

Get a dictionary file and add .com on the end of everything (the automated way obviously). Then scan it for availability. If it is on the drop list and it's good... chances are that it will be snatched in a second, so do something that most wouldn't bother doing.
