Had a fluke happen where two people emailed me about this domain within 6 hours of each other... got them into a bidding war. One guy offered $2,500, the other guy offered $4,500 if I'd sell it right now. I decided to stop messing with it and just push it to sedo for the first guy's $2,500 bid as an opening price.
So what do you think it will end up at? Any advice on WHEN I should start the auction to get the best results?
Also, I posted a thread in another category looking for a domain broker. If anyone here has experience compiling email addresses from the whois information of a long list of .coms and/or sending out mass emails, I'd definitely make it worth your while to help me. I already have the capability of compiling a list of all the domain names containing a certain keword (e.g. "poker). But elegantly extracting the whois and website contact emails from the list and "spamming" domain offers is beyond my means.
If you have an email list for marketing people at all the top corporations, that would be golden. Planning on marketing the hell out of this one to try and get a few more people in the bidding war.
My dream is that the World Poker Tour is working up plans for a University Poker Tour, as well as PokerStars.com, Harvard University, Bill Gates and Google. But I'm thrilled just to sell a domain name at an end-user price!
