Hey guys,
I wanted to ask you how much do you think this domain worth?
There are tons of hostels in the United States so I assumed it would be a good domain name to purchase.

Any kind of geo names can be sold for $300 - $700 depending on the end user.
This is no exception. Do outbound for this and see if you can close it at $400 or so.

Thank you, maybe I will put it in an auction in a few days, I believe it's a great domain since there are over 100,000 hotels in the United States.

I would not put it at auction. Like the previous appraiser said, Geo domains are normally outbound domains, which means quite some work. Decent Geo names go for $10 - $20 here on NP.

I would do outbound. I don't think it is a good geo domain, its decent. The problem for me is that it is plural. This means you should target hostel chains in the US or price compare / booking sites.

Also, for hostel, more specific is better. For instance: I see a name like HoustonHostel sell much faster than UnitedStatesHostel, even though there are less hostels in Houston.

Just my 2 cents.

When I google 'United States Hostels' the first result is from booking.com followed by another 5-6 sponsored search results, so I guess it`s a good keyword combination.
My target buyers are, as you said, a website which compares prices or a website like booking.com.
