Intel lift lid on Ultra Mobile PC devices
Intel have revealed further details of the Ultra Mobile PC platform today, ahead of an announcement by Microsoft on Thursday about their Origami project which is believed to be heavily linked with the UMPC devices.

Details of the UMPC platform have appeared both on Intel's website and the UMPC community site, with the first photos of a red and white handheld device and four short videos showing some of the possibilities of the "anytime, everywhere" internet connected devices.

Wireless internet connectivity, messenger, VoIP calling, music/video synchronisation and the ability to interact with office applications via a remote desktop connection are all being touted as suggested uses for the low-power touch-screen devices, which also feature a digital camera and GPS receiver if the demonstration model shown in the video is anything to go by.

Actual products (along with the vital pricing and release dates) however have not yet been announced, and look set to become clear on March 9th when Microsoft make their CeBIT announcement at Hannover in Germany, at which point the Origami Project website should also provide a further insight in to the new devices.

Yep, these are good domains with potential. I'm adding rep because your original post last night got me on this and I picked up about twenty different domains.

I like these better than your umpcporn.com (although that seems decent) because there may or may not be sites that spring up specifically to serve content to these devices. Meaning, if I was going to serve porn for umpcs, I would also want my site to be able to serve porn to smartphones etc. Better to get domains around the actual product (IMHO) even though I hedged my bets and picked up a few content specific domains as well (umpcmail.com, umpcmedia.com, umpcvoip.com, umpcgame.com).

If the acronym UMPC catches on, you have what I consider to be a really strong domain in UMPCSales.com.

Could fetch high xxx to low xxxx if everybody knows what UMPC means.
The other name is nice....one to hold with the .us extension. Mid to high XX undeveloped.
