.UK registration issues?

I tried registering a .CO.UK domain through Moniker today, but the registration attempt was failing. I first thought there was a problem with my creditcard or so, but my .COM registration was succesful without any problem so it's only the .CO.UK that didn't work out.

Now I have emailed Moniker about it but did not get a reply back, they may be still looking into the issue.

Has anyone experienced problems in registering a .UK domain today? It may be a problem within the registry even though Nominet.org.uk is not mentionning anything.

I have regged 6 names today in .uk with no problems.

This domain is live and does not expire until 2008

They only accept Verified accounts now.
