domain Two Web hosting Domains - Your Appraisals Please?

Please give me appraisals for these two Hosting related domains:

WH.TC ( WebHost, WebHosting, WebHoster etc) *Short, Keywords

AND

WEBHOSTING.GD - * Highly Brandable Keywords


Any comments will be highly appreciated

Hey, noticed it is your first post on NP, so welcome!

WH.TC isn't a bad short domain, but I see a problem, at least in my mind, with both of your names. Web-hosts with specific ccTLDs are generally associated/based with that country. I live in Canada and would probably not sign-up with a web-host that wasn't a .COM, .CA, or .NET. Of course, this is just me, but I am sure that at least some others have a similar view.

My advice is to follow these two rules: Rule #1) only register domains under the .COM extension. Rule #2) when in doubt, refer to rule number one.

That seems a little narrow-sighted as there are millions of fantastic domains outside of the .COM realm - you just need to be a little more knowledgeable.

It all depends on your goal. I am offering the above advice to this OP based on initial selection of TLD. My advice in this thread is directed to the OP and not advanced domainers like yourself. IMO.

Thank you cmason and microguy for your replies. Highly appreciated. Even though i am new to this, i agree to the advice given because it makes so much sense. But the question still is what is the possible worth of both domains if we see in a way that the first domain is really short and has potential of becoming a great web hosting domain (IMO) and the second domain has fantastic keywords. Also the fact is you cant find domains like these under .com, .net extensions anymore.

I am from canada to eh and I wouldnt deal with either extension.never heard of them....
Value,worthless in my opinion but may have value to someone else.
One good domain is worth 20 crappy names.....

Not worth the reg fee IMO. The webhosting industry is far to competitive to use virtually unknown extentions even if they have good keywords

WebHosting.gd could have some value (maybe around low $xxx) so you got a fair purchase. WH.TC is a rare two letter and i'm sure you can easily find some domainers that want to pay more than $30.

But if you are going to start a webhosting site, i recommend you to use a .com domain, even if it's not hosting related. Create your own brand, it worths more than Webhosting.gd. Or look for a Hosting[keyword].com or [keyword]Hosting.com or maybe [word]Host.com . There are several dropping each day and also lot on NP marketplace.
