1. What is the .me.uk extension?

2. Is there any way to find out if a domain I own is back ordered by someone else?

3. Why is .TV so much more expensive?

1. its just another .uk extention. I think it probably means "me" :lol:
2. I don't think there is any way of doing that. Why would you want to anyway?

#2 The reason I would want to know is that I believe someone is wanting to buy it from me but playing cool. Thinking I'm going to let it expire soon. Just figured it would be nice to know if it was back ordered.

#2 - You can check if there are bids at namewinner.com or if there is a GoDaddy backorder yet because they only allow one backorder per name. SnapNames.com and Pool.com don't allow you to see if a name is backordered or not.

#3 - Every country code domain price is set by the owners of the country code. .TV (Tuvalu) set the price high, for whatever reason. The owners of .WS (Somoa) on the other hand chose a low price. Basic supply and demand I assume.

And I saw your last question - I don't know why. I would like to know though. It is the same with other domains like .uk.com and .gb.com and stuff. They cost masses of money lol.

thing with .tv is that it stands for Television, so TV companies use it. Also people who don't know about ccTLDs will think thats what it stands for so they will reognise it:
