I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this information, so monitors, please move this post if needed.

Tucows recently lowered their auction starting price to $15.

The domains listed at auction are pooled from all the Tucows resellers expired names.

In order to bid you either need to sign up as a Tucows reseller, or you can bid through a reseller like myself at http://www.namebids.com

A few important items which Tucows, in my opinion, does not explain very well.

A winning auction name is released from escrow to the winning auction Registrant after day 100. Once a winning bidder obtains a domain name, all the regular domain rules apply, for example, no transfers for 60 days.

In addition, during the escrow period the current registrant may choose to renew the name and in that case the winner looses the name and they are credited the winning bid.

Below are some domains (max 4 letter) at Auction or pending auction.

Future Auctions - Max 4 letter all Tlds

Wonder why Tucows, as a domain registrar, limits its auction to expired domains.
