Most tubes blatantly infringe on copyrights. They are lawsuits begging to happen.

i dont get it, isnt the word tube in general mean the TV and no way related to youtube?

in what way are you implying are they TM infringements?

I would rather have PornKeyword.com for cheaper, or FreePornKeyword.com for much cheaper.

There is nothing $35K special about a domain just because it ends with "tube"
The domain didn't even show much traffic. It looks like it got about 2300 Hits/Month.

FreePorn is a 100% Match for the search "Free Porn" that explains that price. If you are going to expand it to three words though there are any number or prefixes or suffixes that could replace "Tube".

Brad

i agree with you
but i was explaining why this 2 word search term, was rather unique and in this case its rather the 3 million or 35k if you are set on those words
the search engines would treat very well if developed. seems to be getting some traffic parked also

having said that i too would rather get a brandable one word and spend the cash on promotion or other stuff and great development

at the end of the day, if you get lucky, and site takes off and is dveloped well and you can promote on other bisy sites. abything memorable tube or anything without tube can do well

fact of the matter is there are tons of word tube sites doing phenomenally well

look at eskimo tube for example. its adult and nothing to do with eskimos.

truth is the most successful sites have always been regfee anyway.
its not the boots, its the boy in the boots :bingo:

but a great domain certainly helps

we sold jumbotube.com for $3500

the google searchers are now trained to append "tube" onto their queries - they are great brand names for seo

SurfersTube dot com was the first domain I ever registered a bit over 3 years ago before I even knew about domaining (registered it for personal reasons). However a few months ago I received an offer for $4,000 and accepted. Was very happy but that's the only tube domain I have ever owned.

Tube names have now become generics IMO, expect to see more monster sales with the right prefix.

yeah, i agree adult ones are doing best
i have a few

with the country tube ones though, they are highly desirable imo and what better than for a country portal to launch, with just people from a country communicating, and most content, travel etc about that country? a really focussed tube site, but with a huge subject area is ideal imo.

im always more interested in enduser sales though, so im happy to wait for an enduser to seek out the name and its potential

you're leechtube could get u a big payday one time

Has nothing to do with the name and everything to do with the content of the site. youtube and adult tube sites are all infringing on millions of copyrights. People in the adult community are especially pissed as the tube sites are giving everything away for free and people claim they are ruining sales and stealing their valuable content.

i just noted most people are using as subdomains on magnify.net, i thought u may have to pay to use your own domain.

you enter your adsense id and they show it half the time - so you get paid directly into your existing asense account. you can also add your own monitization options like affiliate products and stuff and keep 100% of that.

there is no charge to use your own domain, they tell you how to do it in the forum and faq.

if you want more features there is also ning.com but they charge for using your domain as well as other things. they have some nice community features at ning that magnify doesnt have.

there was a thread about this in the tv forum here that compares them along with some other options.
http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/530419-ning-ideal-platform-dot-tv-sites.html

Id say magnify.net for quick sites
ning.com for long term investments
