What do you think about this domain?
Sold in 2008 for $1k at sedo

I don't know what are the chances someone could want to build a site / company for people in the Coco Islands for based there and need that domain. Otherwise, for an international purpose I see it inaccurate the extension, and doubt someone would pay more than $xx.

Although It was sold before before in 2008 for 1k, I don't see so probably this will happen again, more probably not, although who knows

It's true, many sales are one of kind and won't repeat themselves.
Of course, some .cc are still selling here and there but we can't say there's a market for .cc really...

.cc points the international market as well as .TV Assuming local market for Cocos Islands where the population is 596 isn't that wise.

I only mentioned that as a fact. Chances to repeat that sale are minimal. Despite the fact triple repeated letters, easy to remember, short, brand-able, 135k exact searches monthly, is just an other .cc domain

An other similar sale: ttt.net sold twice $3k and $6k in 2011

Comparing apples to oranges.
In .com/.net any LLL is worth something. Can't say the same about .cc.
We all know the value of .cc domains in general, don't we :]


TTT is not a generic keyword, but it could be 3-letter acronym. You 'just' have to find a company that could make use of that acronym and doesn't mind the extension.
Again, the fact that it once sold is a fluke and extremely unlike to repeat (imo).

The problem is most endusers seem don't like the idea of using this extension if the web or their business will not be based or retated to the Cocos Islands. A high percentage of sold .cc domains are put again for sale so this show most the buyers have been domainers thinking maybe they could make a difference later, or a few percentage of endusers that repented of having considered to use a .cc and put then for sale

So I think $xx is an amount you more probably could expect, more is not impossible as already happened, but less probably

I believ AbdulBasit sold sss(dot)cc for like 500 (maybe more)

FFF dot cc sold for $3xx in 2008, this might tip tops now days. cc more comparable to ws than net.
