Trying to design a site for my friend

I'm trying to design a site for my friend for free. Im not the best 'designer' but could you all give me tips to make this better or help me out here. I can code it and all - I just want it to look the best possible way it can.

Nice thing your doing for your friend If you need anyhelp just ask me on my msn
[email protected] and because I find that a nice deed i can design it for you for free and you can code it and also try to make the buttons more proffesional.
