just don't pay, they wont reopen account with out payment and hold onto document that you tried to cancelle.

If they are a true company they will shut down the account till a payment has been made if no payment is made it well be deleted.

Just wundering what host your using feel free to pm me if you rather not post in the forums.

Just stop paying for it...and I would mention the host and the problems they have so others may not make the same mistake in doing business with them. Chances are, they'll find this after searching along the lines of "hostname sucks" and try to rectify the problem to clean up their image.

If they are a member here, try PMing them. Maybe something is wrong with the tickets?

If I were you, I wouldn't pay if they don't cancel it beforehand. Unless your paying $50+ more, then no collection agency is going to come after you for anything less or they would be losing money. ;)

That's absurd. That attitude is why big companies are so quick to abuse their customers. If you aren't happy with a service, don't just take it and pay whatever they want..complain, make it a PR nightmare for them, do whatever you can to get your money back, or get your money's worth.

Ouch that sucks I hate when web hosts are not ethical like that. I would kill myself before doing that to a customer.

NO,
it is just the quickest solution
Why put your website, time and sleep at stake for a few $$$? :$:

Let's it be, nothing to do.
Maybe trying some free web hosting for the first year ,
If the site is developed ok and some traffic, then find a paid hosting at that time

For your reference only.

Because it's a matter of principle. If everyone had that shitty attitude then there would be no reason to serve your customers well. It's the hosting business, not the ****ing mafia.

The best thing is to contact your host directly on the forum and ask him about the things happening.

Be careful, read the TOS and AUP if they have one, they may have an email address that you need to send a request to or even charge you surcharges for late payments regardless of whether you cancel etc.

This has the added benefit of potential customers exposure to the problem you're having. The threat of bad PR is enough to convince most companies to see things your way. In the end, their business model depends on them looking good, eating a few (hundred?) bucks is a paltry sacrifice to keep a good reputation.
