Very brandable, "traunt" is found in the 1903 dictionary, though it is no longer in use (nor in any contemporary dictionary). It meant, "To sell in an itinerary fashion." such as peddling door-to-door. That was before the age of telephones and electronics, which still allows the same itinerary sales in telemarketing.

I actually used to use this word. I think I got it from my grandpa, but when I used it I thought it meant to walk fast, or trudge, or used it as a trip ("Henry and I took a traunt down to the store.").
