Transfering a domain bought with hosting package

I have a domain that I got with my hosting package, if I want to sell my site or move hosts is it easy to get control of the domain? its regged under my name etc but I dont really have any DNS control over it or anything. I got it when i signed up for hosting and they were offering free domain.

Try contacting the person that got you the domain. Then ask for their support.

Ok thanks, was just wondering if anyone knew what the norm was in that situation. Will just contact my host if the need arises
