Transfer Question

Say I'm transferring a domain that's regged at register.com and I want to transfer it to my name.com account....do I pay name's transfer fee or register.com's transfer fee?

You only pay name.com the transfer fee.

But you do need to call Register.com and get your domain transfer auth-code before name.com can accept your transfer request and payment.

the expiry date (day and month) will remain the same , but extended by a year (after you pay the name.com transfer fee)


when a domain is transferred , it "carries" with it the remaining registration term (since the remaining registration term is already paid for)
