.net .org .info .biz .us all available. Meaning a person can reg any of these rather than pay you $ for the name. 22k google results for "traffic village" using quotes and nothing there remotely points to a unified place or product. No traffic village shopping center, parking garges, condos lol This looks as an name where you got to go with the idea you had in mind when you reg it and develop it. Value regfee

Nice name with decent development potential. Since this is more of a brandable, you'll need to do some development to find value. IMO.

Thank you guys, I'm not used to thinking from the perspective of a domainer so those comments come very useful.

Now, how about these ones:

consumers-reviews.com

paternitytestinglabs.com

findcordbloodservices.com

teachbabyread.com

articlethon.com (based on what john said I can imagine this one is going to be another "reg fee")

all of them are $0 - regfee

The above is a classical example of how NOT to appraise a brandable domain name !

You should really start a new tread for each domain appraisal so I not comment on your later domains except to say that they do not have much appeal to me after a preliminary investigation but I have to say that trafficvillage I like a lot as a brandable domain.

An enduser should be willing to pay at least high-$xxx for this domain in today's marketplace - it's reseller value much lower.

what would be a good strategy to follow in the case of a brandable domain? (other than google for a company with a similar name)?

What you want with a brandname domain is a company NOT to have a similar name thus avoiding any future trademark issues or confusion amongst users/consumers.

It should also be meaningful/relevant, easy to remember and project a sense of quality or prestige to your target market.

It's nearly always best to have the .Com of your brandname, by default it's where your users/consumers will expect to find you online.

Here is a quick analysis:

consumers-reviews.com < hyphen plus breaks 14CR* = reg fee

paternitytestinglabs.com < breaks 14CR* = reg fee

findcordbloodservices.com < breaks 14CR* = reg fee

teachbabyread.com < missing much needed "to" = reg fee

Good luck in the future. IMO.

* = 14 character rule of domains

I think TrafficVillage.com is a great brandable name. Its resale value would be low $xx. Put it on Sedo and ask for $200. If not, develop it and go with your original idea.

Good luck!
