I have a question. I recently purchased a name that has the following disclaimer on its' website:

"Officially licensed trademark in United Kingdom and the European Union."

I checked the uspto.gov site and it is not registered there
(Which I know holds less weight)

I was curious to know thoughts as to whether or not I will trouble with development.

I would not be in USPTO since they do not claim it to be. I don't understand "holds less weight", I would think it holds more weight (no offense to other countries).

Developement depends on the usage of the domain. You openly admit to registering a TMed name, what are your intentions with the name? Is it to compete against the TM holder, steal traffic, park or portal? Or are you planning something completely different than thier catagory(s) of TM? Is the name generic in nature or is it unique?

There are many vaiables, but if you registered because it is a name of a compnay that you know, then that is bad faith registration. That is hard to prove, but you actions with the domain could help prove it or not.

I would suggest you read my sig... It will help you a lot and save you time, money and headaches.
