Hi folks,
I found two great .TV names today.

Case:1
A television channel is operating under this name. So I searched for the TM information at USPTO, and found no TMs. The .com name is not owned by the broadcasting company. Can I register this name under .TV? Please advice.

Case:2
Several television channels from different countries are operating under this name. So I searched for the TM information at USPTO, and found more than 2 live TMs. All broadcasting channels have their own Name.CCTLD websites. Can I register this name? Please advice.

Would really recommend you stay away from tm domains.

The potential downside is a lot worse than the potential upside,

which as a matter of simple economics makes it a losing proposition.

Are these names appealing because you heard of them before? If so, then I guess common law TM can be proven. Secondly, what are your plans for the domain? Intent plays a big part in UDRPs,
