I ave a wordpress site, using Google analytics to track traffic

I want to track the traffic for multiple other domains that i'm going to redirect to the site

The reason I want to keep track of the redirect domains individually, is so when a year rolls by I can see if they are worth renewing again

What's the best way to achieve this?

Many thanks

Thanks, do you recommend a 301 or 302 redirect, all the domains are new so have no SEO value to transfer but will be permanent (1+ year)
That depends on your end goal

A 301 tells search engines the redirect is permanent and will then pass any value that domain or url/page had to the new domain or url/page.

A 302 tells search engines the redirect is only temporary and won't pass any value to the new domain or url/page.

If you intend to develop in the future, go 302. If you will never develop it and want to leverage any value the domain/page has to pass it to another, then 301 it.

Value passing with redirects is sometimes considered a blackhat strategy to manipulate a domains potential ranking data and value for resale.

A good acquisitions team will be able to identify that manipulation and may leverage it to devalue your domain for engaging in such tactics.

To each their own. Everyone does it differently.

What ever you decide to do, I wish you luck.
