Hi everyone,

How can I track a domain name history sold for example on Afternic last month for USD 2,500 from creation and hand registeration in 2005 to purchase via GD closeout in 2020 for USD 30 to final retail sale via Afternic in 2024?

What free tools can I use to determine it's acquisition history trend ( hand register , closeout, auction ... Etc ) and holding period?

I would also like to apply this on developed websites.

Afternic stopped reporting sales unless you can find it in namebio or a reported sales thread here, it would be hard to track. Whoxy is the only free domain whois history that I know of.

Thanks for your reply.

But does Whoxy provide data that shows the domain name's journey from hand registery to aftermarket acquisition and possible website development?

Hi,

Completedns.com has at least some of the data you are looking for.

Edit: it doesn't show acquisition data, just nameservers changes and name drops

Thanks.

I just checked it out. As you said, it might not show the full picture but it is indeed useful.

It's been more than six months that this website is unreachable for me.

I have seen a few say that that they couldnt reach the site because of ad blockers and/or the type of browser in use. I had to turn off my ad-blocker to see that site as well.
See if that is the case for you?
