question Town vs. Towne - thoughts and opinions appreciated

As nouns the difference between town and towne​

is that town is a settlement; an area with residential districts, shops and amenities, and its own local government; especially one larger than a village and smaller than a city while towne is an archaic spelling of lang=en.

The reason I'm posing this question is that I'm looking to create a portfolio of two word domains with "towne" being one of the words similar to TowneBank.com. While Towne Bank happens to be a pretty large regional bank, it's name has become well known.

I'm not sure if this is considered "niche domaining", but it feels like it to me. Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. Thanks
