LOL and whats even funnier is he admits SPAMMING the forum cause he didn't like the way the "threads"
here on NP were negative...

Hello bmugford,

honestly, thank you for the summary of my identical posts - thanx.top ; )
I am new here so I have to start with full power - but sure I have a reason for that.

I did that because of all those threads here on NP including such similar negative views on .top which are not helpful to identify .top as one of the few new gTLDs which really have the power to reach levels like the deep established extensions one day; everyone with farsightedness will come to that conclusion after make a view inside the market.
What I also can notice is that many people shouting out SPAM SPAM SPAM after receiving a few mails.

+++

regards,
spiritual.top

and yet, he is still here spewing - paid mouth perhaps?

come on NP, clean it up!

Funny because I am still getting .top spam in my email box. I don't own a single .top and would not want to own a domain from a registry that use dirty tactics. I would not trust that kind of registry.
interesting, just like I am not in any connection with Uniregistry and I'm still getting their spam

.top = top*
* maybe not yet but sooon

Just simple logic ; )

INFO
View .top statistics at /// namestat.org
Visit .top registry at /// nic.top
Visit .top featuring site on SEDO /// sedo.com/de/neue-gtlds/top-domain/?session=991f152cb1d7dc7082df6d2f40616238

It's a fact that this extension is growing like a star since it's birth.

FACTS
- short (3)
- psychological smart (TOP = BEST)
- concise
- noticeable
- easiest spelling
- simple pronunciation
- advertising affine
- visually appealing
- linguistically universal (globally applicable)
- non specific, for every content

Forget all .top haters and follow your instinct - .top will became TOP
Try to get the best .top names, in every language.

Regards,
spiritual.top

Don't go to sleep!!!!!!!!!!! If you're really in Austria, it's like 3 something in the morning, should have checked that before I made a bet. I have $NP riding on how many more posts you can get off. WAKE UP!! Get to work, let's go. Just Do It.

'come on NP, clean it up!'

'Cleaning up' other opinions in a forum for discussion?

What is NP? A forum for discussion? I think so : )

Just relax ; )

Regards,
spiritual.top

Opinions are one thing, spam is another - and when it looks like a duck, then ......it is!
and if you weren't slowed down, would have been a lot worse .... right?

and if it's NOT spam slow down and DISCUSS....

and this forum allows all sorts of discussions, debates, opinions etc
- but if they make no sense and just appear to be a Hype thread of crap
and ramblings - well - then Buh Bye to the posts!

not needing the same post in numerous threads, if you want people to believe, and or get on board,
then talk about it, don't spew.

simple really....

Most people are not saying that the extension itself is bad. It's short, makes sense for many domains, etc.

What many are saying is that the .top registry itself screwed up the reputation of the extension by doing SO MUCH SPAMMING of which they have said they have since stopped (although it seems to have just slowed down a bit), but there is a lot of reputation/PR damage control that needs to be done.

I actually like it WAY better than most of the new and crazy extensions (.pink, .red, .sucks, etc.). I think it had a lot of potential, some of which is lost. I think that if things had been played different it might have been a possible replacement for .net as a second to .com.

Also, since there are a lot of scam/spam prowlers using the domain that too is causing reputation harm. That is mostly out of the registry's control though.

If the registry would have started out right then the .top's future would have been much brighter. If they are able to recover or not will be told by time.

Perhaps, but there best should have had more research done as to what defines "Their Best". I think this also happens when there are differences in cultures and what is considered acceptable marketing practices.

Where the registry comes from it is more easily accepted to "Spam" people as this is many times seen as just a way to get your product before the eyes of buyers. In most other cultures "Spam" is seen as very cheap and inappropriate method of marketing.

I have never really thought it was such a big deal getting Spammed myself, but others severely dislike the practice. I just tend to ignore the spam so it doesn't bother me like it does many. It might also have something to do with how each email service handles spam. The ones that handle it well and people don't have to see it other than a number in their inbox probably aren't affected by it much so won't care about it as much as people who have to waste their time and read spam email because their service providers filters aren't catching as much of it. That can kill off quite a bit of time for some people so I understand that they hate to have to waste their time making sure all emails that are important are seen.

Anyway, sometimes when a company makes an error in judgement they can eventually recover from their mistake, sometimes not. Time will tell if the registry can recover from the negative public relations they have been enduring due to their error in judgement or if it will be a factor in the long term crippling of the extension.

If things are to be good for the extension in the long run though, these practices that are hurting the extension must stop. We'll see what happens.

You can't go by stats, because those were reg'd for a buck or so and many people will pay that because it's not a big loss if they don't sell/develop/whatever the name.

Wait until the first year reg's are up and they have to renew them at full price. The .xyz domains had HUGE reg numbers, in big part because they gave away tons of them for free. Reg numbers mean nothing.

I have said before that I liked the extension itself and though it had (and maybe still has, we'll see) great potential. We will just have to wait and see what happens in the future, especially what the registry does.

Hell, I might even reg a couple. I have nothing against the extension, it makes way more sense that some most of the other new extensions.

I do hope the registry understands that good business practices will pay off more if they watch and mind what they are doing.

You missed what the point was with the .xyz statement. That was about bloated numbers and how you can't judge how good a new extension is by just numbers of reg's, free or discounted. The .top is WAY better looking/sounding/potential wise than .xyz. I was making the statement that reg numbers for first year/eary reg's don't mean what you and many people think they do.

This, "The .top registry is doing what every (error corrected) registry is doing" is NOT true. Every registry is NOT spamming by the thousands/millions like they have done.

You also say "I can not confirm that they doing it with spam" however, if you actually have read (and I know you did) the posts by the registry themselves have said when they were here admitting they did that, but that they claim they have changed that policy you will find that this is wrong.

I will be completely blunt and honest here. I completely understand why you are here trying to pump up how good the .top extension is. You have thousands of them and you want to make your portfolio of .top domains more valuable, I completely respect that, I really do.

However, if you really want to make your investment more valuable thenyou should steer away from bringing more negative light to this extension. This site (As well as several others) get A LOT of indexed pages in the search engines and by continuing to have more and more and more of posts like this get more exposure is only hurting your investment.

If you really want the .top extension then you should back off of bringing more negative light onto the product you are wanting to make money from.

You are completely free to say, think and feel whatever you want about the .top extension and I understand and respect your thoughts/opinions/beliefs.

Person to person I can tell you that you are not helping your cause here by getting confrontational when someone doesn't agree with your beliefs. You are drawing negativity to the extension that you are wanting to grow in value.

You can say (within site rules) or think whatever you want, that is your right and I would never want it otherwise. However, if you really want to make those 3000+ .top extensions you own more valuable then you will want to go about it differently than you are.

I know you think you are helping your cause but if you really think about it and understand how the world, internet and search engines work, you will realize that every bad comment that says/shows/whatever negativity for the .top extension is getting indexed continually and it's only gonna hurt the .top extension, not help it.

You have taken a huge gamble by investing in so many new domains in a new extension that hasn't proven itself that it will be valuable yet. Don't hurt the potential of your investment by bringing more negative PR to an extension that already has enough.
