Nice name!
Before you ditch or sale that name...get ALOT of advice! That name, while a .net and not a .com, is non-the-less a real gem. Value on it to another domainer would be in the range of a few grand, and to the right end-user (animation/comic book producer, animation movie company, ect.) could be worth upper $xx,xxx range easy (or more if super lucky) if pushed hard enough IMHO.

Thanks. I'm certainly in need of advice. I 'm hoping this is the place to get it. I'd like to find someone to broker a deal for me. "Upper $xx,xxx range easy (or more if super lucky)" sounds tasty.

low $xx,xxx imo. I know how you feel. I need a broker for ArmySoldiers.net too. :(

Your domain is probably worth a broker's time and fees due to its popularity with corps and the lack of good, short cartoon words. Definitely worth low to mid $xx,xxx to the right end user. This takes time of course and as long as you have it you have nothing to worry about.

If you don't want to wait 3-6 months domain resellers on this forum would likely pay you in the low to mid $x,xxx. The benefit there being that forum brokers are a quick, safe transaction as long as they have a itrader 10+ rating.

Most importantly, learn how to deal with escrow.com or sedo.com for your transactions. It is important to safeguard your product from those that would cheat and steal to get your name. Regardless of which method you choose to get the item sold, be sure your transaction is completed safely.

Also since your contact info shows up as TWO email addresses, one technical and one administrative, be absolutely sure that you have alphanumeric passwords for both and that security questions to restore them are not easily guessed based on your public WHOIS information.

Happy Selling! :sold:

My suggestion: don't sell now! It's value will rise in 2-3 years and you'll buy a new house.

Hold, Hold Hold! If you can afford to hold this wonderful name then do so.
This could well end up being your retirement money if you hang on to it........

Very best of luck!

Thanks again, everyone.
I guess it doesn't show up on google etc because i haven't been actively using it for at least six years. Instead i use a dom name that's based on my own name which seems more practical for marketing.
I'm not in urgent need of selling so could easily wait for a few years however i had the idea that the net was going to be flooded with exciting new dom names which would make mine look like garbage. If this isn't the case i could wait but i'd hate to miss a golden op.

Due to the speed, entanglement and often incompetance at ICANN, new extensions are probably 2 years away before realized, and 5 years away before useful. So you do have some time.

your domain is a 9year old PR 4 and has afew hundred comic related sites linking to it, my 4 month old .asia that i updated only once can already be found in google and yahoo

so i think you should include this in your calculations, maybe your domain has been blacklisted ?

That's interesting. Maybe it has. I suppose there's a way to discover these things.
I doubt it though. I bought it new and I've hardly used it. It's lived piggybacked on the back of my main site. It's had a very clean life! No email attached to it.

Don't worry about blacklisting now. Wait, wait... :)

Thanks everyone. The consensus seems to be to hold so I guess i'll hold for two years and then come back here and hopefully convince one of you guys to broker a deal for me. I really don't think i've been blocked but i'll investigate all that in the interim.
Thanks again for all your help.
