Tools for domainers

Hello,

Do you guys always use a tool ? Any recommendation for tools that you use ? Especially for expiring domains.

I am developing a software where you can search expired/dleted domains and sort them by pagerank and etc..

What options you would like to see in a such system ?

The system wont be for free, but will be free for a period of time. Because to establish the list and sort the list and process the information i am using several dedicateds which I have to pay per month..

Plus what information do you look for when you search a domain ?

In my system, you can sort the expired/deleted domains by pagerank(also you can check real pagerank or not), extension, length and so on..

Processing about 500.000.000 domains requires an engineering solution to do that, but with my system, people would be able to sort domains easily without wasting time to collect expired domains, sort the datas, process them with using basic tools one by one.

I would be very happy to discuss with people in IM with senior members before my thread gets closed like my old thread.

when i look to that site, it came up with all domains that are not expiring/deleted and the lists were not fresh.

Futhermore, the design really sucks for me. I cant use it. And the results are not proper.

What you will need in a such serice ? Please let me know.

It would be cool if you could list available domain names according to how many of its other extensions are taken. For example: example.com | .net .org .info (all taken). Personally, I like fresh drop and you should probably take some of their ideas if you want this project to be successful. BTW, design doesn't matter to us (fresh drop has a nice design anyway?...), for example, estibot is very popular tool and its design is worse than craigslist.... Hope this helps and good luck!

What your are doing is good BUT there are a dime a dozen really..Lots of sites show domains that are ready to be registered that just dropped.

What I am looking for and maybe many others is a diffrent system. Let me give you an example...

Lets say today there are 100,000 domains registered. Each carrying a full year. So come 9-20-2010 they will be sent to the 45 day redemption period. What I would like to see are domains in that 45 day window BEFORE they go to the public. Not to sure why this is not out yet but it makes perfect sense as a domainer to KNOW what is about to become expired and put into the drop list.

I have my ideas but lets just say if I know a domain is expiring soon I may have a way to save it from dropping :bingo:

for now, you can search any deleting/expiring domain mn my system with examples like

- CCVVVVCC (or any lenghth) which has "aa" in it.
- LLLNNNLNN (or any lenght) which has 11 and 13 and even 1a1 in it..

No one is going to pay 10usd for a report on there domain name. I can look all that info up myself for free. Your service could be useful to a less informed audience but we know how to do this all ourselves so your current audience is not right.

You are right but there are lots of sites that are giving that reports for 10 usd. But one thing you cant do yourself is, you cant lookup 10000 domains or and get their results within a reasonable time.

And most, i am not trying to make something that i earn mone from it. Or not thinking that i can sell a software to people who are new to domain business.

I am trying to do somethign that will help people to make more money, grow their business, help theirselves.

Thats why i am trying to ask and discuss here.. To get people's thought and develop whatever they need.

How did you manage to check PR for 100K of domains on average?
Google does not provide an API to do that and your IP would get banned after few hundres of requests.

I have my ways to do it in a proper way. You are right, checking 100 pagerank will ban my ip. But i am not doing this under only 1 ip or only 1 dedicated.

This is where the knowledge speaks for itself and a move for me to go ahead from compeititors.

I dont know how other sites are dealing this problem but I do.
